Total Connect is an app that you can use from any smartphone device or tablet to arm/disarm your security system remotely or simply to check the status of your security system. It gives you real-time alerts of events associated with your security system as well as the capability to control z-wave thermostats, door locks, garage door openers, lights or many more.
Yes you can! Using the Total Connect app. Please call our office for more information on (808)548-5433.
Yes you can! Lifeline Fire & Security offer multiple ways for your alarm system to communicate, including internet, cell and radio (gsm).
Your contacts, motion detectors and smoke detectors all take CR123 Lithium batteries. We advise that when you are buying batteries that you buy a few extra to keep spare at home as back-up in case the battery runs out in any of your other devices.
Yes you can!
Before getting started it is a good idea to call our monitoring station at 1-888-488-9491 and request they put your system on test and ignore signals.
The devices have either a raise catch or thin slot on one end. Usually at the top. Depress the catch or use a thin screwdriver to twist the cover open. Please note that under the battery is a tamper switch so do not push a screwdriver or tool under the battery or you might break the switch. The batteries should come out easily.
Once you have replaced that battery replace the cover and make sure that the cover his seated on all sides.
When you go back to your keypad, should the low battery message still be there simply disarm your system twice and the fault should clear.
We do require a 3 year agreement, which is a standard time commitment in the industry. Our 3-year agreement means that your rates are guaranteed not to increase for the length of the contract. And, after the 3 year term, you will own the system outright. Lifeline also provides a complete warranty for all parts and labor while your system is monitored by our company.
Yes. After the initial 3 year term you will own the entire system.
Absolutely! The sensors in your system can be positioned in your home to protect areas around you. Also, a panic button can be installed for extra peace of mind.
Over 25% of Lifeline Fire & Security customers have pets. We know that pets are members of the family and we protect them as well. The sensors are pet friendly for pets that are 40lbs or less, for larger pets we can customize the system to allow larger pets to roam freely in the home. Because our system is wireless it is very easy to adapt for pets.
You can call our Monitoring station on 1-888-488-9491 to make any changes or updates to your call list. You will need to provide them with your verbal password before they will be able to assist. It is extremely important to keep your contact/call list current.
All you need to do is call our Monitoring station on 1-888-488-9491 and request they place your system on TEST. You can then go ahead and test any devices you would like to by setting the alarm off. While your system in on TEST, no emergency services or HPD will be dispatched. Should you have any questions or concerns during your system test, please call us on 808-548-5433 and we will address those concerns for you and make the necessary recommendations or schedule a service to address these matters for you.
If your smoke detector is chirping, this usually means that the device has a low battery. If it chirps at the actual device and not beeping at the security panel it also means that this is your home smoke detector and not a Lifeline monitored smoke detector. Please note that a Lifeline monitored smoke detector will only alarm you at the panel if there is a fault or low battery in the device.
This is usually an indication that you have left a door or window that has a sensor on open. Try closing all windows and doors with sensors on them and this message should disappear. You may also need to clear the alarm memory on the keypad. To do this all you need to do is put in your 4-digit code and disarm. Your keypad should then show “Ready to arm”. However if you are still getting an error message displayed on your keypad, please contact our office in Kapolei on 808-548-5433.
